Be respectful.

Be respectful – Members of our community are expected to be nice to each other, and not do anything to deliberately cause another person to be triggered or offended. Sometimes, it happens accidentally. If someone asks you to back off, please do. If someone bothers you, let them know. 99% of conflicts that might arise will be fixed by this simple process. This doesn’t mean no childish behavior (what would be the fun in that?) It simply means not to deliberately cross lines, piss people off, spam channels, or interrupt community games/events. If you’re unsure about something, or someone is giving you grief, talk to one of your game/community leaders.

Discord

No discussion of religion or politics in public channels – These two topics can be instantly divisive. Debates in these two areas can start off calm and end in fights and/or broken friendships. Private channels/discussions are one thing, but if you walk into a chat room and start blasting someone’s religion/political philosophy or judging people for not complying to your religion/political priorities, you’re bound to start something bad. If everyone in the room is fine with talking about a religious or political topic (and yes, you should ask them), then you may proceed with caution, keeping in mind rule #1.

No spoilers – We take this one pretty seriously. Do not spoil content, whether it be games, movies, TV shows, etc. In our discord you will find a text channel labelled #spoilers. This channel is specifically for anything that would be classed as a spoiler The overall policy in our community as to what is classed as a spoiler isn’t crystal clear for every form of media, however the rule of thumb is that if a show is still ongoing, please do not talk about *anything* from that show outside of this channel until it has concluded, For example spoilers about Game of Thrones will not be tolerated in any channel other than this. Another example would be if a movie was just released in the cinema, you should not discuss it until 2 weeks after the movie has been released on a purchasable medium (DVD, online store, etc.). This also applies to voice channels, unless you have been given permission by everyone present in the channel to discuss a show or other media that would fall under these conditions by everyone present in the channel, you are not permitted to do so.

NSFW content should only be placed in the ember-after-dark channel – In our discord you will find a text channel labelled #ember-after-dark, this channel is specifically for NSFW content, NSFW would be classified as, but not limited to: nudity, intense sexuality, violence/gore or other disturbing content, which the viewer may not wish to be seen accessing in a public or formal setting such as in a workplace or school. At your request to the aforementioned people via discord, we will be able to remove the channel from your list.

Regarding your discord profile, You are not permitted to display NSFW content in your avatar or name, Your name must also start with at least one alphanumeric character, Should it not your name may be changed at our discretion, Should you need to keep a specific name for any reason contact a community leader who will be able to assist in changing your server specific nickname

You need at least 1 rolefor our discord – Our discord has a requirement for all our users to have a minimum of one role. Roles are how Discord manages permissions. We have various roles that may apply to you to varying degrees, if you are ever unsure of which role would apply to you please contact Deii#9680 or Aleahnah#8392 via discord messages.

Role Removal – From time to time we will remove users from our Discord server who do not have any such roles, this is only a temporary removal, you are more than welcome to return should your access be revoked by these means.

@Everyone Spam – While we try our best to ensure people are not sending out spammy/unnecessary push notifications, such as through the @everyone tag, we cannot guarantee that it won’t ever happen. Any instance in which it does happen and it has not been authorized prior we will review the permission systems for the user and make changes as necessary.

-Three Strike System-
In our community we employ a three strike system, all of our Administrators are able to issue strikes and it is primarily up to them to discern any action as necessitating a strike,
Under this system, your “strikes” will be maintained for a period no less than 1 month of being received, additional strikes within this window will reset the cooldown period. You will lose one strike after a month of good conduct
Upon receiving a third strike a third strike it will be decided what action is taken, generally this will result in removal from our community for a period no less than 2 weeks
in regards to our warcraft guild, you may not necessarily be removed from any teams you are on, however that is at the discretion of your raid leadership who will be provided with necessary details
General advice: if you follow the rules stated above, you may never receive a strike

Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to our systems immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use our systems will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Service.

All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity and limitations of liability.

Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time.

By continuing to access or use our systems after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please cease usage.
